Yesterday, I included a poll in my Italy Pic of the Day post asking what you’d rather see this week. Images of Italy in lockdown or pure escapist joy from Florence or Sardinia. Sardinia won! So today, as promised your wish is my command. Let’s go for a walk in Sardinia shall we? Today’s Italy Pic of the Day will bring you right to the point where you see this gorgeous view of the Mediterranean Sea.
Italy Pic of the Day | Mediterranean Sea Sardinia
There’s a meandering path at Sito Archeologico Tharros that stretchs across the southern end of the Sinis Peninsula. The entire walk is surrounded by the turquoise rainbow of Mediterranean Sea. See the path just below Paolo leading all the way back to the Nuraghi?
Paolo and I visited Sardinia in 2018 BC (Before COVID). Back then, travel was our hobby and our trips were mask free. What I wouldn’t give to be back in this very spot right now. Breathing in that fresh air, hair whipping about carefree in the sea breeze. The sun was so bright that day, Paolo had to tell me when to open my eyes for the selfie you see below!
I remember looking at those waters thinking I never wanted to go. That and wishing I had brought my Stetson… or at the very least my sunglasses.
For tomorrow’s Italy Pic of the Day, I’ll take you closer to that Nuraghi. I’ll also share a video that explains what Nuraghis actually are, outside of a giant mystery!
If you’ve got a little more time today and want to keep wandering here’s a round of up the 6 Most Beautiful Beaches in Sardinia!
